Even though many people do not have the necessary skating talents, Taryn Jurgensen is unable to imagine a period in her life when she did not participate in figure skating. As she took her first steps onto the ice, she waited with increasing impatience for the music to start. As it turned out, she had some rather magnificent plans in the works.
Skates and other devices of a similar kind were used by humans on the frozen surfaces of rivers and lakes. The sport of figure skating did not exist until the 1860s, when it was created by Jackson Haynes, who is credited as being the “father of modern figure skating.” He came to the conclusion that figure skating should have a greater attraction and significance.
